Um. OK. Interesting. Doesn't really fit in with what has come before. In fact, not at all. Is this a portent of things to come? If I was a Final Fantasy fan I might be diggin' it. But I'm not, so I'm not.

I'm guessing releasing this picture was supposed to build excitement for the "Big Announcement"... was it supposed to WOW us? Hmm. A Big Hmm.

Maybe Vanguard will get better. Maybe it's time to check other games out.

I couldn't agree more. These people just aren't happy unless they are angry about something (whoa, just had a "high" moment there). It's so old.

I agree. They just love to b.itch about anything. And then they'll just say they're expressing their opinion, yet I hardly see these same people express positive opinions on anything.

Seriously? If a new mini-pet looked like Trent Reznor barfed up a Tazmanian Devil that spit fire and ran around biting people on the ankle... now THAT might be interesting.

I've seen this type of character way, way, WAY too many times before. The more I think about it, the more it's getting me very worried about the future of the game.

1. Who said this was a new playable race? New race maybe...more like a humanoid creature that runs rampart in caverns....

2. WTH!!! GW2???? There is no established fact that Arenanet will ever ever ever release a GW2. This game is a MMORPG or MMO or whatever you wanna term it...it does not need a 2nd edition to override the original game. The graphics outweigh most other MMO's out there (WOW, Galaxies), the franchise gives you the ability to purchase other "expansions" to whatever campaign you have...since when did NCSoft make announcement towards a GW2?

Mini Asura...yeah I'll get it, just another pet to the collection, I'm more interested in the content of PC Gamer as to what they say about the Pink Stitch.

Here would be my speculations....

1. Might have new playable race, but don't think it would be the Asura, as they are already set to be a mini-pet.

2. But its very likely that you will get to play as one in a mission or exploration area, much like the Wurm.

3. My guess is that the actual mini would be lot smaller (the usual mini-size), than whats show in the screen shot. But the screenshot might be their live size when see in game (as a NPC/Mob/Character, but not as mini)

4. They look kinda underground race, with cloth that have more European look to it. I am feeling Caves, and maybe steam-punk fantasy type of theme...

OK, here's something positive Miss Prissy Pants...

Guild Wars is the most beautiful, well-conceived game currently out. I love it. I love playing it. When I come home from work (yes, I'm an adult), Guild Wars is my Zen time. No dwarves, elves, orcs, or other adolescent fantasy mumbo gumbo; just stunning graphics, cohesive content, and well-crafted story line.

I beg Anet not to ruin it by going mainstream on us and introducing characters (even if they are just mini-pets) that really belong more on a Saturday morning cartoon with a sideways baseball cap rappin' the ABC's.

I play this game with my wife and friends. Not Cartman, Stan, and Kyle. So, Your Highness, if I want to take this seriously allow me that and leave me alone.

If you were little bit smart you will see that we already have many races in GW (Charr,Mursaat,Titans, Deldrimor dwarves,Tengus....etc.)

A:yes and we were calling this articale as BS until we got some info from Gaile that some of this article is true, and for more confirmation they introduce minipet with one of the races were being in the article.

unofficial news of playable race + minipet of this race on GW site = rumors coming true.

Gaile said some of the info might be accurate some misleading. No one here knows anything for sure except there's a new mini-pet to be given out in an upcoming pc gamer mag. Until you get said magazine and/or hear news from Anet itself, the rest is still just unconfirmed rumors.

Whoa, wait a minute... did I just imagine the Dwarves, trolls, dragons, ogres, centaurs, and many, many more fantasy creatures that have been in the game since release? Cause I swear I saw them....
